1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Vansembly collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you use vansembly.com and our related websites, applications, communications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). It does not govern third-party websites, retailers, manufacturers, or services that have their own privacy policies.

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

• Account and profile information: email address, name or display name, authentication identifiers, account settings, and related account records.
• Build and product information: vehicle details, layouts, components, budgets, decisions, plans, project status, messages or prompts, uploads, and other information you choose to enter.
• AI feature information: prompts, responses, relevant build context, feedback, and related content processed to provide AI-assisted features.
• Usage, device, and technical information: browser or device type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, referring page or campaign parameters, pages or features used, dates and times, and diagnostic, security, and performance logs.
• Transaction information, if paid features are enabled: plan, purchase, subscription, payment status, billing contact information, and limited payment metadata. Payment processors generally receive payment-card details directly; we do not intend to receive full card numbers.
• Communications: support requests, emails, survey responses, and other messages you send us.
• Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers and information used for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and similar functions.

We collect information from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers that support the Service, such as authentication, hosting, analytics, payment, and communications providers.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

• provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Service;
• authenticate users and administer accounts;
• process prompts and build context and generate AI-assisted outputs;
• save and organize projects, preferences, and decisions;
• process transactions and administer subscriptions, if enabled;
• communicate about accounts, security, support, transactions, and Service changes;
• send marketing communications where permitted, subject to your choices;
• monitor performance, troubleshoot, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the Service and users;
• comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms; and
• create aggregated or de-identified information that we do not reasonably use to identify you.

We process personal information for these purposes based on the context and applicable law, including to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests, comply with legal obligations, and obtain consent where required.

4. AI processing

Vansembly uses third-party AI providers to generate responses and support related features. We may send those providers your prompts, relevant build context, and other content needed to produce and secure the requested feature. AI providers may also generate and return output associated with your account or project.

Do not enter passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, precise home addresses, health information, trade secrets, or other sensitive information unless the Service expressly asks for it and it is necessary.

We do not authorize our AI providers to use your personal User Content to train public or generalized foundation models unless we first update this Policy and provide any notice or choice required by law. Providers may still process and temporarily retain content to deliver and secure their services under their applicable business terms.

5. How we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information:

• To service providers and processors that perform services for us, such as hosting, database, storage, authentication, AI processing, analytics, error monitoring, email, support, and payment processing.
• At your direction or with your consent, such as when you choose to use a sharing or integration feature.
• For legal, safety, and security reasons, when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, users, the public, or the Service; investigate misuse; or establish or defend legal claims.
• In a business transaction, such as financing, due diligence, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to legally required protections and notice.
• As aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable state privacy laws unless we update this Policy and provide required notice and opt-out rights.

Links to retailers or other third parties may allow those parties to know that you arrived from Vansembly, for example through a referral parameter. Their privacy policies govern their collection and use.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, diagnostics, and analytics. Essential technologies are needed for the Service to function. Where required, we will request consent before using nonessential cookies. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, but some Service features may not work properly.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to maintain your account and projects, provide the Service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security. Retention depends on the type of information, the reason we use it, legal requirements, and the sensitivity and volume of the information.

After account deletion, information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, transaction records, or records required by law. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No security measure, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique credential where applicable and protecting access to your account.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You may:

• update available profile or project information through the Service;
• unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages, while continuing to receive necessary transactional or security messages; and
• request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information by emailing hello@vansembly.com.

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to confirm processing; access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, sharing, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; withdraw consent; and appeal a denied request. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

To protect users, we may need to verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may request proof of authority and direct identity verification. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. You may also contact the privacy regulator or attorney general in your jurisdiction.

10. Children

The Service is intended only for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact hello@vansembly.com so we can investigate and delete it as required by law.

11. International use

Vansembly is based in the United States. If you access the Service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Policy and update the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by law, such as email or an in-product notice. Where required, we will obtain consent.
